The International scientific conference «Agri-Tech Connect: Linking Central Asia and the World for Agricultural Advancement» is pivotal in fortifying agricultural value chains to enhance food security and farmer welfare while also conserving and promoting agrobiodiversity for nutrition and sustainability. In the face of escalating global challenges such as climate change, the forum emphasizes the urgent need to enable climate change adaptation by bolstering the resilience of food and agricultural production systems. This can be achieved through the sustainable management of natural resources, ensuring that agricultural practices do not compromise the environment but rather work in harmony with it. Moreover, the integration of digital agricultural solutions fostered by technological innovation is crucial for advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Such initiatives not only streamline agricultural practices but also enhance productivity and sustainability, ultimately benefiting local communities and economies.
In this context, we extend a cordial invitation to scientists and practitioners from Europe, America, and around the globe to join forces in establishing mutually beneficial scientific and practical collaborations. These partnerships will be essential for leveraging expertise in the fields of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures and the One Health approach, which recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. By fostering trade development and improving operational mechanisms, we can collectively address the challenges posed by global agro-industrial production, ensuring that food systems are resilient, sustainable, and equitable. Through this collaborative effort, we aim to create a robust framework for the future of agriculture that prioritizes the well-being of farmers, biodiversity conservation, and the nutritional needs of populations worldwide.
Accelerate and sustain agricultural development for enhanced food security and nutrition, especially in view of the challenges posed by COVID- 19 pandemic across all countries; step up efforts to enhance water use efficiencies in agriculture; support efforts in alleviating poverty and hunger at the global level, exchange policies experience in ensuring food security, enhance food supply capacities of Central Asia and CIS, and contribute to a food secure world;
Advance mechanisms for recovery from the pandemic including by enhancing of trade of safe and quality agro-products and investment of Central Asia and CIS agribusiness to incorporate with the world agri-system.
Promote agro biodiversity for food security and nutrition worldwide;
Promote new solutions for sustainable agriculture through exchange of successful BRICS and CIS integration in global sustainability framework models with special reference to small holder and family farmers, including models to support women, youth and the elderly farmers.
